Ornamental Care Program
Trad’s is one of the few companies that offer a shrub fertilization and spray program. We will fertilize your covered landscaped areas once per year with a high grade, complete, time released fertilizer. This fertilizer will provide all the nutrients and elements your shrubs need for the growing season. We will also spray your shrubs twice per year with light horticultural oil as a preventative measure against insects. If a customer notices any problems, placing a service call will result in a visit by one of our specialized Tree and Shrub Technicians. The T &S Technicians are trained to recognize scales, insects, and disease problems and treat them accordingly. Trad’s does not treat fruit trees, naturalized trees, annual flower/vegetable/herb beds, inside pool cages, on decks, potted plants. The Ornamental Program also does not cover any root fungus disease, as there is no cure for these disease occurrences. The Ornamental Program does not offer any guarantees against loss of landscape plants.

Give your landscape shrubs a good trim, from the inside, once to twice per year. Frequent trimming to maintain shapes and sizes results in shrubs that are hollow on the inside and unhealthy.

Keep your beds clean and free of weeds. Pull weeds as they emerge and mulch your beds to help prevent the germination of new weeds and maintain moisture.

Watch for sudden de-foliation, brown spots on leaves, wilting, etc. These can all be signs of disease or insect activity.

Maintain proper irrigation on your shrub beds. Too little water can be as harmful as too much water. Insects, disease, and dead plants are the result.

Plant shrubs and ornamentals in the places where they will thrive and install the appropriate number of plants per bed. Crowded beds and plants growing in the wrong location
